For someone who finds comfort in an excel spreadsheet, it’s odd that I started my career as an illustrator. It was as a technical illustrator, so I suppose that may explain my love of all things precise!
The 20 years I have spent in the industry, I’ve been everything from a PA - ‘I needed the money, besides I was running their DTP department within six months’ (and modest too!) - to an Account Director. With experience in both consumer and customer publishing, I spent the last few years honing my skills on the Customer Publishing side, starting out as an Associate Publisher on Asda magazine and most recently as Group Publisher for Homebase magazine at one of London’s premier publishing agencies.
My passion lies in the process. I love the challenges in the planning, commissioning and troubleshooting that comes with each project. I enjoy working with people who are able to turn the mundane into something interesting and engaging. All of this coupled with boundless energy and my extensive knowledge of print and production make me an asset to any project. Oh and did I mention I love technology!
